The Des Moines Music Coalition has done SO much for the music scene in the last few years. I am personally very thankful for what they have done not only for local music but for bringing national acts in as well via 80/35 and other festivals. So it was with great honor that Cashes Rivers and Aqui Estamos Records accepted the offer to help out with their commercial. If you are not a member JOIN! It is well worth the $25 bucks. Help continue to grow DSM music scene, its a WIN – WIN for everyone!
The friendly guys at MC22 Gigs put together a 30 minute interview & 80/35 performance of Cashes Rivers. How cool is that? Below are some of the times it will be airing. Be sure to check it out.
Since I’m not a Medicom customer (no cable for this gal) I have to get it on dvd… still waiting to see it myself, so drop me an email and let me know what you think. info@aquiestamosrecords.com

Thank you to everyone that came out in the hot sun to see both Canby and Cashes Rivers play last Saturday. We all are so grateful for your support. I will have to say super thanks to DMMC for putting this festival together and making it such a success. How cool was it to have free water bottles and water? I know I really appreciated it. Here are a few pictures and a video interview.
Never thought that would happen as a music loving teen. No need to drive to Omaha, Minneapolis, or Chicago to see these great acts like I did in years past. Thanks to The Des Moines Music Coalition and music, art and food lovers. We can host this great festival in OUR town! How EXCITING is that?!
80/35 is a multi-day festival celebrating music and the people who support music-artists, venues, DJs, and, of course, fans. The third annual 80/35 is set for July 3 & 4, 2010, in Western Gateway Park.
Be sure to see both Aqui Estamos Records artist at this year’s 80/35 festival on the Kum N Go FREE stage.
Aqui Estamos Records will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary, May 27th. This fledging label has been working non-stop the last year and what a fun roller coaster it has been. We have managed to sign two wonderful artists (Cashes Rivers and Canby) hold our first label showcase (Landing Party in February) release a split 7in and May 10th release Canby’s first full length CD – RAT all before learning our A B C’s!
Did I mention Canby’s NEW album will be released May 10th? If you have not picked up your copy at last nights CD release party have no fear! You can pre-order your copy now and have it delivered to you on May 10th. How sweet is that!?
Cashes Rivers’ fan we have some updates for you too. 2010 WILL see the full length released. It has been confirmed that the album is done! It will be traveling with Cashes and Brandon Darner later this month to Omaha for some mastering, then off to press. EXCITING! As fun and exciting as 2009 was, we have some really great things happening in 2010. Thanks for all your support so far. We are very thankful and can’t express it enough. We love music and want to share it with everyone, without your support this last year would not have been possible.
Last Friday we had the joy of surprising Scott with a gift wrapped box that contained the CANBY full-length album RAT. Cashes Rivers behind the camera we all sat there in anticipation for the first cd to be opened. EXCITING!!!
Scott poured his heart into this album and we are so lucky to be a part of his project. This is not only Scott’s first solo release but it is Aqui Estamos Record’s first artist release. The album will have it’s official release May 10th. (in local stores, online, in your grandma’s cd player) BUT do not fear Canby will have a CD release show May 1st at The Vaudeville Mews doors open at 9:30pm with Skypiper and Golden Veins
We are very proud to announce that both Canby and Cashes Rivers will be performing at this years’ GDP!!!
